Teak  is  a  tropical  hardwood  with  a beautiful golden-brown appearance when new.

Over time and particular in moist climates  where  natural  teak  is  exposed  to  the elements as sunshine, dew and moisture, it gradually changes colour from  honey to a silver-grey  patina  which  distinguishes finely aged, outdoor teak.

Over time this beautiful silver-grey patina deteriorates to a dark-grey and looks if it remains untreated. Depending on the environment, natural greying and/or weathering may become noticeable after only a few weeks. In drier climates it will take several months for teak to weather.

Most  teak  care  products  containing dangerous  solvents/ and volatile organic  compounds. NautiCure offers maintenance products that not only perform better, but also safe for the environment. The product  NautiCure use water based and free of solvents (VOC's).
